Concept
A reimagined film encyclopedia where contemporary design texts replace the original content. This experimental publication explores the visual rhythm of reference books and the point where text becomes pure pattern.
Approach
Inspired by the hypnotic quality of telephone directories, I deconstructed each design text across four columns: the original text, words arranged alphabetically, syllables sorted alphabetically, and finally individual letters in alphabetical order. This systematic breakdown mirrors how prolonged reading can transform meaning into visual noise—where sentences dissolve into dancing letters on the page.
Design Details
The cover reinforces this concept through strategic censorship, using black boxes to obscure portions of the original design, revealing only fragments. Throughout the publication, hidden easter eggs reward careful readers who navigate between order and chaos.
